The Grubstreet Author with its stylish spaces, high end facilities, industrial heritage and central location is the perfect venue for a corporate event that is looking to leave a lasting impression.

The flexibility of the 3 available spaces present a wide variety of options for events from 30 to 120 guests. The Cutting Room, provides the opportunity to host presentations in a vintage screening room, The Sample Room is an ideal exhibition and networking space and The Pasteur Room has the ability to adapt to an assortment of conference, expo and meeting layouts. Each of the rooms are available to hire on an individual basis or effortlessly flow together for events that require multiple spaces.

A full range of facilities are available on-site to support any event with the in-house team able to source anything from soft furnishings to flamingos and liaise directly with exhibitors taking away the stress in the process. All event organisers will only work with one contact throughout the sales and planning process with the operations team taking over on the day of the event. Everything about running an event at The Grubstreet Author is designed to make delivering the finest events with the greatest of ease.

AUDIO VISUALS

All of the rooms are equipped with a built in DAD PA system, coloured LED lighting and electronic signage included in the hire of the space. High speed complimentary Wi-Fi is also available in all rooms with the capability of 1100mb both up and down. If the event requires a more complex audio visual solution then incumbent supplier AVC Live are ready to assist. AVC Live are a full service audio visual supplier and are able to cater for all needs including equipment hire, branding, recording and web casts with full technical support.

All spaces are supplied with fully customisable electronic signage which can be used to display event branding.

CATERING

The conference menus at The Grubstreet Author are carefully considered to meet the needs of a corporate event with bold flavour, wellbeing and plenty of fun at the core. Dishes are thought provoking not just in the variety and excitement they offer but also in the ingredients that are planned to keep delegates alert and on the best of form throughout the day.

Be it a long lunchtime break or an exhibition where networking is essential there is a menu with a specific service method that has been tailored to the requirements of the event.

LOCATION

The location of The Grubstreet Author makes finding it completely stress free, even for a new visitor to London. There are multiple tube lines that service the area as well as bus routes on the door stop and Santander cycle stations nearby.

1. Which is the best venue space for my conference/meeting/exhibition?

All our venues have their unique benefits when it comes to hosting your corporate event, depending on what you want to use the space for. If you’re looking for a meeting where you can both serve food and discuss your points, then The Pasteur Room could be the best choice.   The space allows for a table layout and as the history of the space is one of scientific discovery, is the perfect place to foster new ideas.

For an intimate conference or presentation,  consider The Cutting Room, which boasts a 48-seat cinema for showcasing your presentations with real impact.  It also has an attached reception room where your attendees could discuss the conference with ease over refreshing drinks.

Finally, for an exhibition, the most appropriate space would be The Sample Room since it is not only connected to The Pasteur Room for added space, but  is also the largest of our three spaces at the Grubstreet Author with the capacity of up to 160 when combining the two rooms.

2. What technical support can we receive for our conference or exhibition?

All of the venue rooms at The Grubstreet Author are equipped with both a built-in DAD PA system and high-speed complementary Wi-Fi, which has a capability of 1100mb both up and down.

We also have the support of our supplier, Blitz, who provide full service audio-visual technology, and can assist with equipment hire, branding, recording and web casts.

We know that conference lunches are created to be eaten on the go, encouraging networking, so our talented chefs carefully consider each dish to meet the needs of your event and your guest’s appetites. The dishes are thought-provoking, both due to the variety and also the ingredients used, and they are created purposefully to keep delegates alert and on the best form throughout the day.
