FROM CHEMISTRY TO HISTORY

HOST YOUR EVENTS IN THE VERY ROOM WHERE YOUR HUMBLE PINT WAS PERFECTED

ABOUT THE PASTEUR ROOM

The legendary French chemist Louis Pasteur visited the site of the Grubstreet Author in 1871 to investigate the problems of beer fermentation. The results he achieved from the on-site laboratory meant that beer was forever changed for the better, and if you’re responsible for vastly improving the nation’s beverage of choice you deserve to have a room named after you!

The Pasteur Room playfully juxtaposes traditional period features against raw elements that hint at the rooms’ industrial past. The stunning tin tiled roof, compliments the striking herringbone floor and commanding burnt iron chandelier to perfection. In conjunction with the creative cooking on offer it would be difficult to find a more impressive venue to host a private dinner and the setting will add character to any meeting or conference. The Pasteur Room can be used in conjunction with The Sample Room to create a separate reception space or host larger standing events.
